Private Hospitals Go For Medicare Gold

Leading private hospital groups have swung behind Labor's $2.9 billion pledge to give immediate free treatment to older patients, under its Medicare Gold scheme - which has been dismissed as "a hoax" by the Prime Minister, John Howard.
